JOB PROFILE

The Product and Publishing Coordinator will be the main point of contact for the Alpha publishers, distributors, National Alpha Offices and Regional Directors, and Regional Development Managers, ensuring appropriate Alpha materials are available so that Alpha and related ministry courses are able to run.

Based in Kuala Lumpur, the candidate’s role will be; to manage key client account relationships and projects; to oversee and manage the product and distribution of Alpha and related ministry resources throughout the Asia Pacific regions.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Publishing

  • Work with UK Publishing Office to maintain up-to-date knowledge of all material being published, scheduled for publication, new version releases, and new product launches.

  • Project and Relationship Management to insure the effective global adoption of the Global Product Strategy.

  • Project Management of Global Translation Projects such as Alpha Film Series.

  • Work with third parties on translation projects as well as oversee all audio video production projects that involves subtitling and/or dubbing for the region.

  • Be the first point of contact for all Global Publishers, answering and directing any queries they may have.

  • Holding and progressing the relationship with our Print on Demand vendor. Updating and uploading new titles onto the online library and processing print runs and customer orders. Working with international publishers to get more titles uploaded to the server.

  • Oversee publishing and distribution activities across the Asia Pacific.

  • Manage royalty reports – including consolidation of sales reports.

  • Prepare account contracts and manage contract renewals.

  • Raise client invoices and administrate payment collection.

Communication

  • Work closely with Asia Pacific Media team to:

    • Facilitate simultaneous global product release and updates, working closely with the Communications department.

    • Develop contextualisation plans to serve the Asia Pacific region.

    • Plan and oversee production of advertising and promotional materials.

  • Holding bi-weekly calls with the publishing individual/teams from other regions; hearing updates from their region and helping to trouble shoot any issues. Feeding back any updates they need to know.

  • Taking part in the regional Product/Communications calls and taking minutes, noting any action points for the team and circulating to everyone afterwards.

  • Respond to enquiries about product and services.

  • Manage key client projects and ensure delivery on time.

 
 
 

ESSENTIAL SKILLS

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Strong language skills in English (ability to read and write Mandarin is a bonus).

  • Advanced knowledge in MS Word Skills, Excel, Power Point, Outlook.

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, communications, marketing or a related field.
