HTBB Safeguarding

 

HTBB is committed to the safety and well-being of all its members, particularly children, youth, and vulnerable adults. Everyone who participates in the life of HTBB plays a part in promoting a safer church for all.  

In promoting a safer church and culture in HTBB, we are committed to the following:  

  • Promoting a safer environment and culture to nurture, protect, and safeguard all members, particularly children, youth and vulnerable adults.   

  • Conduct proper due diligence on selecting and recruiting all staff and volunteers.  

  • Ensure staff and volunteers abide by HTBB Staff and Volunteers: Behaviour Protocols. 

  • Equip staff and volunteers with safeguarding knowledge and skills to recognise and respond to abuse or safeguarding concerns.  

  • All concerns and allegations of abuse will be responded to appropriately, including referring to the relevant authorities if necessary. 

  • Provide pastoral care and support to anyone who has suffered or been affected by abuse.  

  • Review the implementation of safeguarding policy, procedures, and practices annually.
