HTBB is committed to the safety and well-being of all its members, particularly children, youth, and vulnerable adults. Everyone who participates in the life of HTBB plays a part in promoting a safer church for all.
In promoting a safer church and culture in HTBB, we are committed to the following:
Promoting a safer environment and culture to nurture, protect, and safeguard all members, particularly children, youth and vulnerable adults.
Conduct proper due diligence on selecting and recruiting all staff and volunteers.
Ensure staff and volunteers abide by HTBB Staff and Volunteers: Behaviour Protocols.
Equip staff and volunteers with safeguarding knowledge and skills to recognise and respond to abuse or safeguarding concerns.
All concerns and allegations of abuse will be responded to appropriately, including referring to the relevant authorities if necessary.
Provide pastoral care and support to anyone who has suffered or been affected by abuse.
Review the implementation of safeguarding policy, procedures, and practices annually.
