Leadership Development Internship

Looking to invest your time in a meaningful internship experience, or to serve within a ministry context in a thriving and vibrant church? Or are you looking to level up your influence in your university or the marketplace?

We believe that God has a call on your life to influence and lead. LDI is a holistic programme designed to help you unlock areas of calling, character, and competence.

We do this through a mix of practical ministry experience and cohort learning – all within a community of other emerging leaders like you.

Internship Term: 10 June - 10 Sept 2024
(Application deadline: 5 June 2024)

 

You’re you for a reason. LDI is designed to give you space to explore and step into the unique calling that God has for you.

 

Growth involves our being as well as our doing. You can experience accelerated transformation as you go through this journey with God and one another.


Hands-on experience is paired with cohort training to help you realise and release your giftings – all with the support of a mentor and our staff team.

 


What you’ll get

Mentorship

You’ll have a personal mentor who is specifically devoted to guide and build you up throughout the entire internship.

Teaching

There’ll be engaging classroom time for theological, leadership and formational input from various leaders and teachers.

Ministry Placements

The other half of your time will be spent in ministry placements - serving alongside our teams across departments and functions - putting theory into practice by exposing you to a wide range of ministry areas.

Community

We believe that growth happens best in community! So we dedicate time throughout the week to hang out and dig in as we journey through the internship term – chatting things through, challenging ourselves, praying and worshipping together.


 

POSSIBLE MINISTRY PLACEMENTS

You will be placed within one of these ministry teams based on your strengths, skills and area of gifting/interest.

CHTBB, YOUTH, CAMPUS

We’re looking for those who want to raise and release the next generation.

COMMUNICATIONS & CREATIVE

We’re looking for storytellers, designers and other creatives to help people encounter God through a good story, told well.

DISCIPLESHIP (CGS, DISCIPLESHIP COURSE)

Learn how to create pathways that enable people to find belonging, help and support.

OPERATIONS

Help create and shape environments that allow people to connect with God and each other.

SOCIAL ACTION

Come and be part of the story of what God is doing through our Foodbank and support those most in need.

WORSHIP & PRODUCTION

For those already cultivating a life of worship and who are living to see the worship of Jesus made central in our communities again. Come and dive into the practices of a worship leader or production manager.

 

Your Typical Week at LDI

In an environment that’s always moving, no week will ever look the same. Catch a glimpse of how your time will be spent as a Leadership Development Intern.

MONDAY — Ministry Placements

TUESDAY — Hub Prayer Meeting, HTBB Team Meeting; 1-to-1 with mentors

WEDNESDAY — Ministry Placements + Alpha

THURSDAY — Learning & Spiritual Formation

FRIDAY & SATURDAY — Off Days

SUNDAY — Services at HTBB in various ministries

FAQ

  • 3 months

  • We invite anyone who is at least 18 years old to apply for the internship.

  • The internship will be conducted onsite at HTBB in Lot 10, KL with other areas depending on the ministry placement you are part of.

  • Interns will be getting a monthly love gift based on their qualification.

  • The majority of your responsibilities will require that you have a reliable form of transportation for the internship. However, please know we are open to discussing what works well for you to get to HTBB.
