Relationships | Sermon Series
#1 Relationships (Part 1)
This Sunday, Abel Cheah launched our new sermon series on Relationships with a powerful message from Ruth Chapter 1. Unpacking the story of Ruth’s unwavering loyalty to Naomi in the face of immense loss, Abel showed how great relationships are built on covenant, not convenience. We were challenged to embrace this kind of steadfast, selfless love, which has the power to transform our lives from bitterness to blessing and place us right in the centre of God’s redemptive story.
#2 Relationships (Part 2)
This Sunday, Priscilla Khor continues the sermon series on Relationships from Ruth Chapter 2. The story of Boaz in this chapter reveals how God’s kindness, or hesed, is expressed through everyday moments — a greeting, a meal shared, protection offered. As we open our lives to others in hospitality, generosity, and mercy, we don't just do good - we reveal the character of the God who welcomes, gives and redeems and we mirror the compassion of Christ and become instruments of His restoring love in our communities.
#3 Relationships (Part 3)
Using the pivotal story of Ruth and Boaz at the threshing floor from Ruth 3, Pastor Alvin explores how our choices can pave the way for God's redemption in our relationships. He highlights how Ruth's courage to take a step of faith and Boaz's integrity in a compromising situation were foundational to their story. This message encourages anyone navigating singleness, dating, or marriage that their current status is not their final sentence, and that by cultivating courage and integrity, we can partner with God to see Him bless our relationships and redeem our pasts.
#4 Relationships (Part 4)
Drawing from Ruth’s final chapter, Annarina shows how God turns loss into legacy through courageous obedience. Ruth’s loyalty, Boaz’s integrity, and Naomi’s perseverance reveal that God is working even when we can’t see it. Boaz’s commitment to do what is right becomes a doorway to redemption for an entire family. This message encourages anyone facing uncertainty or disappointment that your story isn’t over. As we choose integrity, selflessness, and community, we partner with God to see Him redeem our past and shape a hopeful future for generations to come.
