What is worship central academy intensive?

The Academy Intensive is four days packed full of training and exploring all things worship-leading, based at HTBB Church and Alpha Asia Pacific Hub in the heart of Kuala Lumpur. It is run by Stew Mcilrath from Worship Central alongside the wider team. We want to see worship leaders from all around Asia, encounter God, be equipped and empower their local churches.

Who is it for?

Do you have a heart for God, worship, and the local church? Do you have experience in leading worship? The Academy Intensive is designed for worship leaders actively involved in leading regularly in their church, with a heart and calling to be further equipped in this area. Our Academy Intensive is on an application basis with limited spaces. All are welcome to apply but only certain applicants will be chosen.

EnCOUNTEr

The Academy Intensive gives you the opportunity to encounter God on a deeper level and to grow as a follower of Christ, through worship, prayer and sharpening one another in community over the course of the 4 days.

WCA_Equip

EQUIP

The Academy Intensive aims to equip you both spiritually and practically as a worship leader/pastor through teaching, Q&A and seeing how the team at HTBB operate.

The course will include teaching on the following areas:

·   Leadership training
·   Theology of worship
·   Practicalities of worship
·   Songwriting
·   Building teams and pastoring them

COST

RM400 per person. This includes 3 meals per day plus snacks, all the course teaching and materials. Students are advised to find their own accommodation to suit their individual needs and budget however we would be more than happy to point you in the right direction and help with options.    

Application Process

Applications are currently not open but dates will be available soon.

Places are limited (maximum of 20 students on each intensive). Please note, the Academy Intensive students are selected through an application process, and submitting an application does not secure a place on the Academy. Your application will be processed and reviewed post deadline, and you will be informed as to whether or not your application has been successful.
