What is FOCUS Communities?
Focus Communities is a church-wide season where Connect Groups, ministry teams, and communities intentionally gather beyond their regular rhythms to deepen relationships and strengthen their connection to the wider life and vision of HTBB. Rather than one large church retreat or camp, Focus Communities takes place across different groups, interests, and weekends throughout the season.

Why are we doing this?
Last year, Focus Camp was about making a big church feel smaller.
This year, Focus Communities is about helping smaller communities feel connected to a bigger church.
We believe people grow best in community. That's why this season is about creating intentional spaces for Connect Groups, ministry teams, and communities to gather, build deeper relationships, and strengthen their connection to the wider HTBB family.
Our hope is that every person would experience greater belonging, deeper friendships, and a stronger sense of being part of God's story through our church.
Who is this for?
Focus Communities is designed for Connect Groups, teams, and communities across HTBB, creating space for communities to gather, deepen relationships, and journey together intentionally throughout the season.
If you're not currently part of a Connect Group or team, we'd love to help you get connected into community ahead of Focus Communities.
How does it work?
Throughout the Focus Communities season, Connect Groups, ministry teams, and communities across HTBB will gather on different weekends between August and October 2026 for their own Focus Communities experience.
Each community will journey through the season in their own way, while being supported with shared resources, vision content, and guides designed to help conversations and connections happen meaningfully.

I’m not in a Connect Group or ministry team yet. Can I still join?
Yes! We’d love to help you get connected into a community ahead of the Focus Communities season. You can explore joining a Connect Group or serving team before August begins.
What if I’m in multiple groups or teams?
You’re free to participate with the community you journey with during this season, as different groups and teams may organise their Focus Communities gatherings at different times and in different ways.
I’m interested in joining a Focus Community gathering. What should I do?
