About Us.

Our Vision.
To contribute to the evangelisation of the nation,
the revitalisation of the church,
and the transformation of society.
Our Mission.
Living out the gospel by loving and
serving the most vulnerable in our city.
Who We Are
Who We Serve
We come alongside those facing hardship and injustice, especially vulnerable children and families among the urban poor, migrants, and refugees.
Much of our work begins in the heart of neighbourhood refugee communities and local low-income families, where children and young people are most at risk and in need of hope and opportunity.
How We Work
Prayer at the Heart, Volunteers in Action
Every initiative begins in prayer and comes alive through the time, talents, and compassion of the HTBB community. Our volunteers turn vision into reality — serving with love, consistency, and a heart to make a difference.
Building Strong Partnerships
We work with trusted NGOs, community leaders, and experts to ensure every initiative is respectful, sustainable, and genuinely impactful.
Focused on Long-Term Change
Beyond meeting immediate needs, we build lasting relationships with communities — walking alongside individuals as they grow in strength, dignity, and hope.
What We Focus On
Urban Poverty & Food Insecurity
We support vulnerable families through monthly food packs, school meals, and food rescue. In partnership with local organisations, we also provide skills and livelihood training, helping refugee and migrant communities build sustainable futures.
Children & Education Empowerment
Our children’s programs build foundations in learning, life skills, and leadership. Through the Bukit Bintang Community Centre and partner schools, we create safe and nurturing spaces where every child can learn, play, and grow — discovering friendship, joy, and love along the way.
Key Areas We Serve In.
At HTBB Social Action, we’ve been putting faith into action — partnering with communities, charities, and volunteers to bring hope and practical help. From food relief to education support and care for the urban poor, each initiative is about sharing God’s love in action.
Children & Education Empowerment
-
When: 1st & 3rd Saturdays
Alternate Saturdays, 30 volunteers welcome over 100 children for a day of fun, learning, and community.
From sports and arts to baking, computers, and guitar, six workshops give kids and teens a safe space to grow in skills, confidence, and friendship.
-
When: Every Monday
HTBB Social Action Team runs a 6-month beginner’s computer literacy course for students from two refugee learning centres. Over weekly Monday 10AM-12PM classes, they gain essential digital skills to support their education and future growth. -
When: Every Monday, Wednesday & Friday
We run online tuition sessions to give students the extra support they need to grow and excel in their studies — all from the comfort of home. -
Since 2019, our annual Christmas outreach has gathered around 40 volunteers and welcomed over 500 guests each year. More than a festive event, it’s become a tradition of joy, generosity, and sharing hope with those in need.
-
When: Every Sunday (9AM-11AM)
We welcome children from Hiichiikok Home and Orang Asli communities into a safe and nurturing space — where they can learn, grow, and know they are loved.
Urban Poverty & Food Insecurity
-
When: 3rd Saturday
Volunteers gather at HTBB to pack and deliver food supplies to 150 families — including refugees, local families at Loke Yew Flats, seniors in Sekinchan, and students in Pudu. These essential packs bring practical support and care to those facing hardship. -
When: Every Wednesday
Our team of 14–16 volunteers prepares and delivers 278 simple, nourishing meals to five schools. A humble sandwich of chicken or tuna becomes more than lunch — it’s a reminder to every child that they are seen, cared for, and valued. -
When: Tuesdays, Wednesdays & Thursdays
We partner with local bakeries (Rainbow Bread, Lavender, Secret Recipe, Breadstory, Komugi) and businesses such as Ben’s Grocer, KFC Pavilion, and The Westin Hotel, as well as The Lost Food Project, to rescue surplus bread, dry goods, fresh produce, and frozen meat. Instead of going to landfill, this quality food is redistributed to families and individuals in need — reducing waste while restoring dignity. -
We partner with three refugee schools to provide financial support for a simple breakfast — bread and milk — five times a week. For just RM400 a month, this ensures children begin their day nourished and ready to learn.
