Anyone with a heart to serve! We welcome individuals, families, and youth.

Not at all! We provide orientation and on-the-job guidance.
However, if you have experience in teaching or mentoring children and youth—especially in crafts, sports, performance arts, or life skills—we’d love to hear from you!
We also welcome those with skills in teaching English, financial literacy, or social enterprise for adult sessions.

We offer a variety of roles, including children’s education, refugee outreach, community meals, mentoring, admin support, and more.

It’s flexible! You can serve regularly, seasonally, or as needed.
However, we encourage volunteers to commit to at least one year of service to fully experience the joy and impact of building relationships and mentoring the children and communities we serve.

Yes! All new volunteers must attend an orientation and complete three observation sessions as part of their on-the-job training.
Some roles may require additional onboarding or role-specific training.
Safeguarding Requirements
We are committed to ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for everyone—especially children, youth, and vulnerable adults.
All volunteers serving in these areas must:
- Attend HTBB Safeguarding Training or complete the HTBB safeguarding course
- Provide two reference checks
- Adhere to the HTBB Safeguarding Policy
